Parslow & Winter Golf Design (PWGD) were commissioned to undertake the comprehensive redesign and reconstruction of all 36 holes at the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC), with the aim of bringing both the East and West courses up to international championship standards.

A key objective was to ensure the courses could withstand Malaysia’s intense tropical climate, including heavy seasonal rains and extreme humidity, while maintaining optimal playing conditions year-round.
The redesign of both courses was guided by a clear vision: to create world-class tournament venues capable of challenging the best professional golfers in the world, while also enhancing the playing experience for members and guests.
The West Course, known for its dramatic terrain and strategic layout, quickly earned international acclaim after hosting the Malaysian Open and the PGA Tour-sanctioned CIMB Classic, both to widespread praise from players and organisers alike. Today, it serves as the home of the LPGA’s prestigious Maybank Championship.

Meanwhile, the East Course was thoughtfully reimagined to blend aesthetic beauty with competitive integrity. It proved itself a worthy tour venue by successfully hosting the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia tournament for several consecutive years, earning accolades for its design, conditioning, and playability.
Together, these two signature courses firmly position KLGCC among the top golfing destinations in Asia.
