The 27-hole golf course underwent a major upgrading exercise with a re-design by Parslow & Winter Golf Design to refresh and re-brand the three 9’s in line with Tropicana’s reputation as a premier property developer and to keep up with other “modern” courses in the Klang Valley.
After a full review of the existing course conditions, play strategy and residential safety concerns, a productive presentation to the owners and management resulted in the go ahead for PWGD to proceed with their vision for the rejuvenated golf course.

All green complexes and fairway bunkers were re-designed with new and challenging play strategies and re-constructed using the latest construction materials and technology. Safety issues were carefully addressed in the redesign with strategic bunkering and new tree planting. All retaining walls were reconstructed and many lake shapes adjusted closer to greens and tees to create more challenges for golfers. Fairway drainage was upgraded and tee boxes re-levelled, with some relocated to improve safety to adjacent housing and enhance the challenge for golfers of all abilities.
With the changes, the new layout requires more strategy and care, with more risk versus reward challenges while encouraging good course management skills.
Subtle changes to ponds and the introduction of wetland planting have beautified and improve water quality and promoted more desirable habitats to many species of birds and wildlife within the hustle and bustle of this inner-city course.
